It's a good fit. We bought a size 5/6 as my son is just turning 6. If your child is tall for their age i would recommend buying a larger size. My son is quite small for his age.

Good basic packable waterproof at a good price. Very lightweight at about 150g,and easy to pack back into the bag. The zipped pockets are useful too.

Bought size 13, it fits my 12 yr old fine. Not actually used it yet so can't comment on how good it is
